We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in our bustling Columbus, Ohio, distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will be a key player in our logistics operations, responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering products to fulfill customer orders. Your core duties will involve reading order tickets, locating the specified items on the warehouse floor, and ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. Accuracy is critical to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You may be required to operate equipment such as pallet jacks or order pickers to reach and retrieve items. Maintaining a tidy and well-organized workstation and surrounding areas is essential for productivity and safety. You must be diligent in following all safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure working environment. This role demands physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and have a strong commitment to teamwork. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or hand-held scanners.
- Locate products in the warehouse and ensure correct item and quantity selection.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment as needed.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other picking equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety and logistics.
