We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory variances, and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols. You will be working closely with receiving, shipping, and operations departments to reconcile stock levels and identify potential issues before they impact the supply chain. Responsibilities include performing physical counts of inventory, reconciling system data with physical stock, investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies, assisting in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures, ensuring proper labeling and storage of all inventory items, and maintaining a clean and organized inventory area. A strong understanding of inventory management principles is essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also a key requirement. Your role in preventing stock-outs and overstock situations will directly contribute to our operational efficiency. Ensuring that all team members are aware of and follow safety guidelines is paramount. Adherence to proper PPE usage is mandatory. This position may involve some light to moderate lifting.
