We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Dallas, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving materials around the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our Logistics network. You must possess a keen understanding of forklift operation best practices and a strong commitment to Safety . Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times while on the warehouse floor. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. While operating the forklift is the primary duty, you may also be asked to assist with other warehouse tasks, which could include some manual Lifting . Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and unstack pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with put-away and retrieval of inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Support overall Logistics operations as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks, including occasional Lifting .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Strong understanding of forklift operating procedures and Safety regulations.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional manual Lifting .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
