We are hiring an Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that products are picked correctly and promptly for shipment. You will use order lists or scanners to locate and retrieve products, carefully inspecting each item for quality before moving it to the packing station. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable navigating a large warehouse space and performing repetitive tasks accurately. Regular lifting of items, typically up to 40 lbs, will be required. Adherence to all safety procedures is mandatory, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety vests and gloves. A strong commitment to workplace safety is expected from all our team members. You will be working closely with the packing and shipping departments to ensure seamless order fulfillment. Understanding warehouse layouts and efficient picking techniques is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves.
- Verify picked items against order specifications.
- Ensure picked items are in good condition and properly handled.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity standards.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
