We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, stack, and transport materials throughout our warehouse facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a dedication to adhering to all safety protocols. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to coordinate the movement of goods and ensure timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent spatial awareness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is also a key responsibility. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to wear appropriate PPE at all times. Regular maintenance checks of the forklift equipment are essential to prevent accidents and ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stack and organize inventory according to established procedures.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting as required.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Experience in the Logistics sector is highly valued.
