We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring timely movement of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of goods.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials to and from designated areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition, reporting any issues immediately.
- Accurately record and track inventory movements using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and work areas are free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve production goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
