We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and speed will be key to maintaining our high standards of service. You'll navigate our warehouse efficiently, using handheld scanners and other equipment to locate and pick items. This position is essential to our logistics process, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipment.
- Stage orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and order information.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Understanding of inventory logistics and order fulfillment processes.
