We are actively recruiting for an Inventory Control Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves implementing and overseeing inventory management systems, conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your meticulous attention to detail and understanding of logistics processes are key to preventing stockouts, minimizing shrinkage, and improving overall operational efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to maintaining precise records.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures and systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points, ensuring adequate supply.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage and facilitate retrieval.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory-related procedures and the importance of Safety.
- Collaborate with purchasing and sales departments to forecast demand and manage stock.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
