We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management at our Richmond, Virginia facility. This critical role involves maintaining precise inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow and accurate stock levels. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing inventory turns, reducing waste, and improving overall operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement replenishment strategies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to manage inbound inventory.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, including the proper handling of materials and use of PPE.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in inventory management, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment. Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. This position may require occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
