Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Distribution Center Associate in Houston, Texas. This role is essential to the seamless operation of our extensive logistics network. We are looking for dedicated individuals who possess a strong work ethic, are detail-oriented, and prioritize safety in all aspects of their work. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. This position requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handle physical demands, and adhere to all company safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including proper packaging, labeling, and staging.
  • Organize and maintain inventory within the distribution center, ensuring neatness and accessibility.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed and trained.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting processes.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and support logistics flow.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to management.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics role is preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and operate various types of warehouse equipment. Commitment to upholding strict safety standards and using required PPE. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, as dictated by operational needs in the logistics sector. This role is a key component of our supply chain operations.
