We are seeking a diligent and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include locating and retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining an organized and clean work environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick sheet.
- Locate products in the warehouse efficiently and safely.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Stage completed orders for shipping personnel.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to warehouse safety protocols.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily fulfillment goals.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Requires moderate physical exertion, including frequent bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Attention to detail is essential for order accuracy. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus. Familiarity with scanning equipment is beneficial. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory.
