We are looking for a motivated Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is essential for ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves, then carefully packaging them for shipment. Success in this role relies on speed, accuracy, and a strong attention to detail. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where efficiency and Safety are top priorities. - Accurately pick items from inventory locations using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the correctness of picked items against order requirements.
- Pack products securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation correctly to packages.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring they are ready for carrier pickup.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE , such as safety vests and gloves, as required.
- Communicate any stock issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse picking or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for moderate physical exertion, including Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts is helpful.
