Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Tampa, Florida location. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who understands the importance of organization and safety in a busy logistics environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, stage, and prepare materials for production or shipment. Your contribution is vital to our operational success and customer satisfaction. We are committed to providing a safe and rewarding work experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move materials to and from production lines or shipping/receiving docks.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse layout.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to Safety and handling.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment or handling materials.
- Participate in inventory management processes.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of materials to meet operational demands.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is essential.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of heavy items (up to 75 lbs), pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Logistics and material flow.
- Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.
- Familiarity with using scanners and other warehouse technology is a plus.
