Join our vibrant logistics team in Miami, Florida, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! We are seeking organized and efficient individuals to manage the flow of goods in and out of our facility. This role is essential for maintaining seamless operations in our busy shipping and receiving department. You will be responsible for accurately processing incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining inventory records. If you have experience in warehouse operations and a commitment to accuracy and safety, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately record all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Organize and maintain the receiving and shipping areas to ensure efficiency and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse management team in achieving operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving manual dexterity and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to a safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and scanners.
