Hospital Security Manager Location: London Borough of Sutton Salary: Competitive Join Assist Security Group - recent winner of four OSPA awards including Outstanding Security Company. Assist Security Group is looking for an experienced Security Manager to lead the security operation at an NHS client site in the London borough of Sutton. This role is responsible for managing the site security team, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism while maintaining the safety and security of people, property and assets. The Security Manager will also act as a deputy to the Head of Security when required and work closely with the client to maintain a strong and effective security presence. We offer a professional working environment, structured training and real support for our officers, with clear pathways for development within the business. Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00. To support operational requirements, occasional out-of-hours site visits may also be required. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the site security team, ensuring high standards of professionalism • Foster a strong team culture focused on service, safety and operational excellence • Manage recruitment, training and development of the security team • Ensure rotas and staffing levels meet operational requirements • Respond to incidents and manage situations through to resolution, escalating to emergency services where required • Provide clear reporting and communication to the client and internal management • Ensure compliance with assignment instructions, policies and security procedures • Identify risks, threats and hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures • Manage performance reviews, development plans and disciplinary processes where required • Ensure patrols, alarm responses and security systems are effectively utilised • Maintain strong collaboration with the client and wider site teams Requirments: • Previous experience managing security teams • Strong leadership and people management skills • Calm and effective when dealing with incidents or emergencies • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • High level of professionalism and attention to detail • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities • SIA Door Supervisor licence required • CCTV licence preferred
