Staff Development Coordinator (RN)
to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting education, training, and professional growth for our Nurses and CNAs. In this vital role, you’ll help elevate resident care by empowering staff with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed. Position Overview: Staff Development Coordinator (RN)
The
Staff Development Coordinator (RN)
is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting education and training initiatives for nursing and support staff. This role works closely with nursing leadership to ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and a strong culture of continuous learning. ✅ Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and implement ongoing education and training programs for nursing and support staff Conduct new employee orientation and assist with onboarding Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate required in-service training Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility education and training standards Support infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory readiness initiatives Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and support to nursing staff Maintain accurate training documentation and records Qualifications:
Current and active
Registered Nurse (RN)
license in Alabama Experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population required Prior experience supporting
staff development or nurse education
strongly preferred Minimum of
three (3) years of nursing experience Strong organizational and clerical skills with the ability to read reports and manage data accurately Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate education programs Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing leadership and other departments Benefits:
