Our Richmond, Virginia facility is hiring Order Pickers to support our growing logistics operations. We need dedicated individuals who can accurately and efficiently retrieve products for customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will utilize RF scanners or pick lists to locate items in the warehouse, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process and requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be expected to maintain productivity standards while working in a dynamic and sometimes physically demanding environment. Safety is our top priority; all team members must strictly follow safety procedures, wear the required PPE, and utilize safe lifting techniques. The job requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is advantageous, but we are willing to train motivated candidates. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations according to order tickets or RF scanner prompts.
- Verify that the correct items and quantities are picked for each order.
- Stage picked items in the appropriate area for packing or shipment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform lifting and material handling tasks using safe and ergonomic techniques.
- Meet daily picking performance targets.
- Participate in inventory control activities such as cycle counting.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Contribute to the overall success of the warehouse logistics.
