We are looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our logistics operations in Durham, North Carolina. This role is vital for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and carefully packaging them for shipment. Success in this role requires speed, accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will work within a fast-paced environment, utilizing hand-held scanners and other equipment to manage inventory and process orders efficiently. We emphasize a team-oriented approach and provide a supportive environment where adherence to safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE, is paramount. Contribute to our efficient distribution network in Durham.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipment.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and material handling.
- Ensure all required PPE is worn correctly at all times.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues or discrepancies.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency by meeting performance targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or inventory counts.
- Perform tasks that may involve frequent lifting of packages.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail for order accuracy.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to perform lifting tasks safely.
- Basic understanding of logistics and order fulfillment processes.
