Our vibrant logistics facility in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is central to the smooth operation of our warehouse, managing the inflow and outflow of goods. You will be responsible for accurately receiving shipments, preparing outgoing orders, and maintaining efficient warehouse organization. If you are detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic, this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, assisting with cycle counts and stock checks.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting and manual handling of goods.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required to support overall logistics operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and handling.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to comply with all PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and supply chain concepts is a plus.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
