We are looking for a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within our warehouse. This position is crucial for maximizing our storage space and ensuring efficient inventory management. You will work with a variety of products, ensuring they are stored and retrieved safely and accurately. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Our logistics operations depend on skilled operators like you to maintain high levels of productivity and inventory accuracy. We emphasize a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to our strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods.
- Place inventory in designated locations, optimizing vertical space.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Load and unload trailers as needed, ensuring safe handling of products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Participate in ongoing safety training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to workplace safety and wearing required PPE.
