Our organization is seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and storing all goods. Your role is fundamental to maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring the smooth flow of materials into our logistics system. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to adhering to safety standards. You will work closely with suppliers, delivery personnel, and internal warehouse staff to ensure all deliveries are processed efficiently and correctly. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, meticulous, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of operational excellence.Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and unloading incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verifying the contents of deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Documenting all received items accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Assigning received goods to their appropriate storage locations.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhering to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Communicating effectively with vendors and internal teams regarding delivery status and issues.
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- This role involves some physical activity and may require moderate Lifting .
- Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies safely.
- Identifying and reporting any shortages, overages, or damages to supervisors.
- Ensuring that all inbound Logistics processes are followed efficiently.
- Contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
