Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin distribution center is looking for a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our logistics team. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our warehouse, encompassing a range of duties from receiving and storing goods to preparing them for shipment. If you are a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Sort, organize, and stock merchandise in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Prepare shipments for transport, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the strict use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Report any safety concerns or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE, such as safety vests and steel-toe boots.
