We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our bustling warehouse in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our outgoing logistics, ensuring that all products are correctly documented, packaged, and dispatched to their destinations. Accuracy, speed, and organization are key to success in this position. You will work closely with our warehouse team and carriers to guarantee timely and efficient shipment of goods. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical function within our Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders and packing lists.
- Package products appropriately for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, freight).
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the inventory system.
- Track shipments and communicate any delays or issues to relevant parties.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company Safety guidelines.
- Use and maintain appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Perform other shipping and receiving duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion.
- Proficiency in Lifting and moving packages up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Attention to detail is paramount for this role.
