As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from our warehouse inventory using pick lists or scanning technology. Following the picking process, you will carefully package these items, ensuring they are secure and properly labeled for shipment. Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency are key to success in this role, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. The position requires you to be on your feet for extended periods and involves moderate lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use scanning devices or pick lists to identify and retrieve products.
- Verify product accuracy and quantities before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity targets for picking and packing operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow within the logistics center.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and shipping labels accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Capability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
