Join our fast-paced logistics team in Houston, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic and detail-oriented individuals to accurately pick orders and prepare them for shipment. In this role, you will be responsible for locating items in our warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices, ensuring the correct quantity and product are selected. Once picked, you will carefully package the items, ensuring they are protected during transit and meet shipping requirements. This role is fundamental to our customer satisfaction and requires a high level of accuracy and efficiency. You will be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, requiring you to be on your feet for extended periods and perform moderate lifting. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all employees must adhere to company policies, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements (pick lists, scanners).
- Verify product identity and quantity before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipping.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Assist with inventory checks as required.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet daily picking and packing performance targets.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and shipping labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity for moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
