Our growing logistics operation in Tampa, Florida is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse procedures, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for motivating your team, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees. This includes enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety checks, and ensuring proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management and a passion for optimizing logistics processes. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, stocking, and order picking processes.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Oversee shipping operations, ensuring timely and correct dispatch of orders.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse personnel, focusing on safety and operational procedures.
- Monitor team performance and productivity, implementing improvements as needed.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Manage warehouse equipment maintenance and ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall logistics flow.
- Handle any issues or discrepancies that arise within the warehouse.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience with PPE protocols.
