Join our vibrant logistics team in Chicago, Illinois, as a Picker/Packer! This role is central to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting items from inventory, assembling them into orders, and packaging them securely for shipment. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the efficient flow of goods. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, providing thorough training on safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order documents to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label packages with shipping information and prepare them for dispatch.
- Operate packing equipment and material handling tools.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation and surrounding areas.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established performance standards for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Support overall logistics operations and assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual.
