Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately for all outgoing orders.
- Verify that all items are picked and packed correctly according to customer orders.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies before dispatch.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipped items and associated documentation.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and pallet wrappers safely.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and carriers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with loading trucks when necessary, performing tasks involving lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping orders and documentation accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a demanding environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all logistics procedures.
