Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily for safety and operational issues, reporting any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling.
- Be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion when not operating equipment.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all logistics activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and forklift safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners is a plus.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others is critical.
