Join our fast-paced logistics operation in Washington, D.C. as a Picker/Packer! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and securely packaged for shipment. Your primary responsibilities will include retrieving items from warehouse locations according to order specifications and then preparing them for dispatch. This involves using scanning devices or pick lists to locate products, performing quality checks to ensure order accuracy, and proceeding to the packing station. At the packing station, you will select the most appropriate packaging materials, ensure items are well-protected, and apply shipping labels correctly. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be required to follow all warehouse safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to handle packages of various sizes and weights, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals who work well in a team and can maintain a high level of productivity. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order details.
- Verify picked items for accuracy in type and quantity.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and packing area.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Lift, move, and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly.
- Capability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and logistics practices.
