As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be essential in managing inventory flow by operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve goods from various levels of our racking system. Your responsibilities will include conducting daily equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and safety, identifying and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. You will navigate the warehouse safely, handle loads with care, and accurately record inventory movements within our system. A thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols is critical, as is the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires individuals who are comfortable working at heights and proficient in material handling. Responsibilities:
- Operate reach truck to transport, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Safely maneuver the equipment through aisles and around other personnel and equipment.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on the reach truck.
- Accurately record inventory transactions in the warehouse management system.
- Load and unload materials from receiving docks and storage areas.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any operational issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and manage loads safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
