Our growing logistics operation in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk. You will play a key role in the receiving department, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately accounted for, inspected, and processed efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for managing incoming goods, verifying documentation, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a seamless flow of products into our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring operational efficiency in our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
- Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including safe Lifting practices.
- Support overall warehouse logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or as a clerk is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Experience with WMS software is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
