Join our thriving logistics operation as a Shipping Clerk in sunny Tampa, Florida! You will play a vital role in our distribution center, ensuring all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for delivery. This position requires a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing packages.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against order forms.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update systems accordingly.
- Ensure all packages are properly sealed and secured for transit.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Identify and report any damage or discrepancies in incoming or outgoing goods.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Operate within warehouse safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Handle tasks that may involve moderate Lifting and movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and logistics.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations.
