Join our dedicated team in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Picker/Packer! In this essential role within our logistics operations, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining product quality and safety standards. You will be a key contributor to our customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. This role involves physical activity, including lifting, and requires adherence to all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Efficiently and accurately pack orders using appropriate materials and methods.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to team efforts and assist colleagues to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is preferred. Candidates must possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the capacity for frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods. A strong commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is mandatory.
