Join our team as a Distribution Center Associate in Richmond, Virginia! We are looking for energetic individuals to support our daily warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that goods move efficiently through our supply chain. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment that requires physical activity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming merchandise accurately.
- Pick products from inventory for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and necessary documentation.
- Operate manual and powered warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – if certified) safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and efficiency goals.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Support other warehouse functions as required to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to varying tasks.
