Seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers for our Grand Rapids, Michigan location! As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders with speed and accuracy. Your primary responsibilities will include picking items from warehouse shelves based on order details and then carefully packing them for shipment. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to work efficiently under pressure, and possess good manual dexterity. You will be utilizing hand-held scanners to locate products and confirm picks, contributing to inventory accuracy. Significant lifting, typically up to 40 lbs, will be required throughout the shift. A strong commitment to safety is essential. All Picker/Packers must adhere to rigorous safety standards and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety vests and appropriate footwear. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against customer orders.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages for shipment.
- Stage packed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and wear mandatory PPE.
- Meet productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or order issues to supervision.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
