As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all outgoing shipments. This involves coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documents, tracking shipments, and ensuring that all orders leave our warehouse on schedule. You will play a vital role in our logistics operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and correct deliveries. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses strong communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. We prioritize Safety in our operations and expect all employees to utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details for accuracy.
- Maintain organized shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist in resolving any shipping-related issues or discrepancies.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the shipping department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and best practices.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
