We are actively recruiting a certified Forklift Operator for our state-of-the-art facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the movement of goods throughout the warehouse. This position requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will play a key part in inventory management, loading/unloading operations, and ensuring the overall productivity of our operations. We are committed to a safe work environment and expect all employees to utilize their PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and balanced.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure optimal safety and functionality, reporting any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions to ensure safety.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve operational goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support logistics.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and general logistics principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of PPE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
