We are looking for a reliable Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. This is a vital position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our warehouse operations. Your attention to detail and speed will be key to fulfilling orders accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and dispatch.
- Use scanning equipment to track inventory and update system records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment as required.
- Be prepared for tasks that involve regular lifting of goods.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to your supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
