We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator in Orlando, Florida! Our distribution center is expanding, and we need a proficient and safety-focused individual to manage the movement of goods. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and products, move them to and from storage areas, and assist in shipping and receiving. Your role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics chain, ensuring materials are handled correctly and on time. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in the warehouse.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, such as production, storage, and shipping.
- Perform pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any defects or needed repairs.
- Accurately stack and store materials according to warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Ensure all loads are secure and stable for transport.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to fulfill daily logistics objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability for consistent Lifting of heavy items, up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
- A strong commitment to Safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
