Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Portland, Oregon? We are searching for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our bustling warehouse. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and maintaining the flow of inventory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a productive work environment. You'll be instrumental in receiving, storing, and shipping a wide variety of products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport raw materials to production areas and finished products to shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Stack and organize materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring pathways are clear.
- Understand and adhere to all logistics and warehouse procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
