We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our San Jose, California warehouse. This role is fundamental to our inventory management and logistics operations. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Process received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and prepare goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain organized receiving and staging areas.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
Excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail are essential. Prior experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs. Proficiency with computer systems and inventory software is beneficial. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate inventory levels.
