We are recruiting for a skilled Shipping Clerk position in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the outbound flow of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping processes. This is a key role within our logistics department, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You will work closely with warehouse staff and carriers to coordinate timely and correct shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outbound shipments.
- Verify order details against shipping information for accuracy.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure all packages are properly packed, labeled, and consolidated for shipment.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Must be comfortable working with computers and shipping software. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally. Experience in a shipping or logistics environment is preferred. Must be able to stand, sit, and move around the workspace. Excellent communication skills are necessary for coordinating with carriers and internal teams. A commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is required. This role is crucial for maintaining our supply chain integrity.
