Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport inventory accurately to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any defects or needed maintenance.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, cycle counts, and order picking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, free from obstructions.
- Follow all company procedures, safety regulations, and logistics protocols.
- Ensure loads are properly secured before transport.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors to optimize workflow.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Promptly report any safety hazards or operational concerns.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- In-depth knowledge of forklift safety standards and operating procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
