  • Monday-Friday Day shift: 8am-4pm with flexibility
  • RRSP Matching 3% once permanent after 600 hours

  • Team size: 4 + 2 apprentices

  • Report to: Shift supervisor
  • Must have criminal background check



Requirements:

  • Licensed Maintenance Millwright (433A) or Industrial Electrician (422A) or Canadian Industrial Mechanic diploma/Bachelor
  • Fitness Level appropriate to manual labour
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a licensed skills tradesperson
  • Minimum of 2 years in a maintenance leadership role.



The role:

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment setup Responsible for executing all elements of CMMS and directing all maintainers, as required
  • Executes repairs or coordinates external trades executing repairs
  • Controls and coordinates the procurement of parts and maintenance consumables
  • Receives parts and consumables from Vendors
  • Schedule any major maintenance on weekend when required
  • Maintain CMMS accuracy and become CMMS experience and in-house trainer
  • Drives Zero Harm culture
  • Ensures strict compliance by team members and contractors to all company and government safe work policies and procedures
  • Ensures all members of the maintenance staff are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so the maintenance objectives are achieved
  • Review & prioritize work orders, PM programs, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinate with Project & Engineering team, External contractors, and vendors
  • Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Coaches and counsels employees
  • Coaches and signs off on apprentice hours that are successfully completed
  • Prepare for and participate in maintenance part of GAP Audit
  • Conduct LOTO training
  • Interview and evaluate potential candidates
