Description:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Service Technician to support customers across Southwestern Ontario. This is a field-based role focused on emergency troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical expertise, solid electrical knowledge, and a customer-first mindset, with a strong preference for experience in compressed air systems.
- Perform emergency field service, diagnostics, and troubleshooting at customer sites
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance, repairs, and new equipment installations
- Read and interpret three-phase electrical panels, schematics, and technical drawings
- Service and maintain mechanical systems with supporting electrical components
- Work directly with clients on-site, providing clear communication and professional service
- Use digital tools and IT platforms for reporting, diagnostics, and service documentation
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests as needed
- Travel occasionally for overnight service calls or training (approximately 10–20% annually)
- Attend technical training sessions in Montreal or the U.S. as required
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of field service experience in an industrial or client-facing environment
- Strong mechanical background (3–5 years required)
- Minimum 1 year of electrical experience , with strong understanding of three-phase systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation
- Comfortable working independently in the field and managing customer interactions
- Proficient with IT tools, mobile service platforms, and digital reporting systems
- Strong preference for experience with compressed air systems
- Familiarity with piping systems and industrial layouts is an asset
Background Preferences:
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial service, or food & beverage facilities
- HVAC background is highly desirable
