The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Construction Field Supervisors to lead critical underground and surface work packages on behalf of our client, a major gold mining operation entering an intensive multi-year capital expansion. This is a high-impact, boots-on-the-ground leadership role for individuals who know the work because they’ve done the work.

You will oversee daily construction activities across brownfield surface facilities and underground environments, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Ontario mining and industrial regulations. This role demands strong field presence, practical judgment, and the ability to hold contractors accountable while maintaining collaborative relationships with owner teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct on-site supervision for underground and surface construction scopes
• Lead and coordinate contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and quality execution
• Enforce Ontario mining and industrial safety regulations
• Monitor productivity, schedules, and daily progress against project milestones
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to prevent delays or rework
• Conduct field inspections and verify adherence to drawings, specifications, and standards
• Support commissioning and turnover readiness where required
• Maintain a visible safety leadership presence in all weather and site conditions

What You Bring

Background & Experience

• Trades background (millwright, electrician, heavy civil, or similar) OR Engineering background with significant, hands-on field construction experience
• Demonstrated experience in brownfield construction, including live operating environments
• Experience in underground mining construction and/or industrial surface infrastructure
• Strong understanding of Ontario mining and industrial regulatory requirements

Leadership & Field Capability

• Proven field leadership experience supervising contractors and multi-discipline crews
• Comfortable managing both contractor and owner teams
• Strong situational awareness and practical problem-solving ability
• Willingness to work in remote, camp-based environments, including winter conditions
