The Senior Buyer is responsible for the continuity of supply of required materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met
· Review MRP report to make sure all POs are placed within 24 hours’ timeline
· Perform day-to-day purchasing activities
· Sourcing material and component
· Follow up on late orders and shortages
· Communicate internally with other departments and Supply Chain Manager (SCM) on items that may impact customer’s delivery
· Resolve issues related to non-conformances and receiving discrepancies
· Provide support to buyers in finding alternate material/source for critical items
· Assist Supply Chain Manager in managing procurement KPIs, develop procurement processes and strategies for continuous improvement
· Identify area of opportunity to reduce costs and inventory
· Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
· Take professional and consistent approach to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
· Proactive in identifying risks in the supply chain, suggesting solutions to help mitigate risk
· Other related duties as assigned

What you bring to the table
· 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Professional Certification is desired
· Ability to read Engineering drawings, specifications and BOM
· Experienced in procuring Raw Material, electronic components and MRO
· Proficient in using Internet, Microsoft office and Excel spreadsheets

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $95,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol’s total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan. Our employees are also eligible for participation in an annual incentive bonus program based on their position.
