POSITION:

Maintenance Manager

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all activities regarding the preventative and corrective maintenance of all building, manufacturing, processing and ancillary equipment.

Duties and responsibilities:

-       Direct the maintenance and repair on all molding machines and related equipment including robots;

-       Direct the maintenance and repair on all clean rooms;

-       Direct the maintenance and repair on all curing related equipment;

-       Implement and maintain records related to preventative, general and corrective maintenance in all areas of responsibility;

-       Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment;

-       Organize and maintain a clean maintenance shop;

-       Machine cleaning where required by production related activities;

-       Assist Molding Manager/ Supervisors with plant startup;

-       Maintain close working relationship with Molding manager and supervisors to efficiently schedule preventative maintenance around the production schedule;

-       Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), clean room, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) procedures;

-       Strict compliance to safety rules and procedures while on premises;

-       Repair breakdown of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure;

-       Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems;

-       Install and commission new machinery;

-       Repair and Maintenance of Ovens, Assembly Fixtures, Packaging Fixtures & Equipment.

-       Repair and Maintenance of Building Equipment, Compressors, Chillers and transformers.

-       Ability to quickly isolate and solve machinery and equipment problems; and

-       Create and maintain accurate records and paperwork for service history.

WAGE:

CAD 97,000.00 to CAD 105,000.00 per annum based on a 40 hour work week. Eligibility for annual salary review based on company’s performance and performance based bonus.

EDUCATION:

College Diploma in Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

-       Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager in a plastics plant;

-       Demonstrated understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and control systems;

-       In-depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment and related processes;

-       Comprehension of robotic systems and automation;

-       Possesses strong mechanical knowledge of all plastic molding equipment;

-       Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and expedite repair;

-       Knowledge of GMP, Clean room, and ISO procedures;

-       Strong command and ability to communicate in industry technical terms;

-       Good leadership skills

-       Ability to work in a team environment effectively;

-       Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

-       Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis;

-       Linear and logical problem-solving abilities;
