NetSuite Systems Administrator (Operations & Supply Chain Focus)

The NetSuite Systems Administrator is responsible for the hands-on administration, support, configuration, and continuous improvement of the organization’s NetSuite ERP platform, with a strong focus on Operations , Supply Chain , Inventory Management , and fulfillment workflows in a wholesale distribution environment. This role ensures NetSuite operates reliably as the day-to-day operational backbone of the business, supporting 3PL execution, EDI-driven transaction flows, and cross-functional operational processes. The position partners closely with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to maintain system stability, data integrity, and scalable transaction workflows aligned with business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily NetSuite system administration including role/permission maintenance, user support, workflows, dashboards, saved searches, and SuiteAnalytics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for NetSuite operational support issues and system troubleshooting.
  • Configure and maintain modules including Inventory, Procurement, Order Management, and fulfillment workflows within a wholesale distribution environment.
  • Support and optimize transaction flows across Sales Orders, Item Fulfillments, inventory transfers, and adjustments in coordination with 3PL-driven operations.
  • Build and maintain workflows, SuiteFlow automations, custom records, and forms to improve operational efficiency while ensuring system stability.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders to support and enhance Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, inventory control, warehouse coordination, freight, and fulfillment processes.
  • Support and troubleshoot integrations including 3PL providers, EDI platforms (e.g., 850, 940, 945, 856 flows), PLM systems, and eCommerce channels.
  • Maintain and improve Item Master data governance including SKU setup, attributes, naming conventions, costing alignment, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Execute ongoing data cleanup and integrity initiatives to improve reporting accuracy and operational execution.
  • Provide secondary support for Finance-related NetSuite processes including GL impact awareness, inventory valuation dependencies, AP/AR visibility, and transaction posting logic.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure operational changes maintain financial accuracy and do not disrupt month-end close.
  • Develop SOPs, documentation, and training materials for NetSuite operational workflows.
  • Manage system release testing, data validation, role-based security controls, and compliance requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4–8 years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience, preferably in a wholesale, retail, or distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, inventory management, and 3PL distribution models.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining Item Master data in a multi-SKU wholesale environment.
  • Working knowledge of EDI transaction workflows (850, 940, 945, 856 preferred).
  • Foundational understanding of NetSuite Financials including GL impact, inventory valuation, transaction posting logic, approvals, and period close dependencies.
  • Proficiency in saved searches, SuiteAnalytics Workbooks, dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Experience configuring items, POs, SOs, transfers, inventory adjustments, and fulfillment transactions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to support business users effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Preferred: experience with SuiteScript, RESTlets, middleware integrations (e.g., Celigo), and EDI platform integrations.
  • Preferred NetSuite certifications: SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant.
